What I can offer as a clinical supervisor

I have a passion for teaching and supporting other counsellors to reach their potential. I am trained as a clinical supervisor for NSW Health, in the past I have held roles where I have provided clinical supervision to 20 clinical staff members at one time including head of departments. I have been a lecturer for child counselling and group psychotherapy at universities. I have presented in national and international conferences. I have published several resources and conducted research in ACT and Art therapy.

I am here to listen and support you through your clinical role. Counsellors need support for their own self-care and learning development. I offer a relaxed approachable method so you can be yourself. I can support you in the following roles; counselling children, adult, family and group therapy. My specialities are children with a chronic illness, parent counselling and adult mental health. I can also teach therapists about play, art and sand tray therapy if interested.

Counselling for Counsellors

Counsellor’s need support too. It can be hard to admit you too need support even though you know all the theory, it can be helpful to unpack your thoughts and reduce anxiety or other overwhelming feelings. As a therapist for 20 years, I understand the pressures on our own mental health. I believe all therapists should experience therapy, it makes us better therapists and reduces burn out. Would love to support you on this journey.
